In this article we explain how to prepare a mixture of Construction Gypsum to fix cables to the wall.

Here are the steps we followed:

Pour water to a clean non-metallic container and gradually add the required amount of Construction Gypsum. The gypsum: water ration should be approximately 1:0.55. Let the mixture “develop” and then we stir it with a trowel. As the open time for work with the gypsum is between 8 and 15 min., we recommend preparing an amount of the mixture which can be used in a period of around 5 min.

Using a joint knife scoop a small amount of the mixture and stick it over the wall and the cables, so that the cables are now fixed to it. Smooth over with the joint knife. Once the mixture dries the cables are successfully fixed to the wall.

The different applications of Construction Gypsum are:

• For skim coating
• For glazing the surface after gypsum skim coating
• For fixing cables, electric boxes, etc. to walls
• For decorative ornaments and applications.
